From the test it is found that the optimal proportion Based on the critical literature review the following is the use of tannery sludge 20%, Quarry dust 50% and conclusions are made: cement 30% in cement brick gives compressive strength 6 [1] Use of the quarry dust as a replacement of fine aggregate N/mm² and water absorption is 10%.
The only disadvantage is non-biodegradability. This study summarises the work done by authors to use plastic as construction material in bricks. The recyclable properties of plastic waste can be ...
Quarry dust is a byproduct of the crushing process which is a concentrated material to use as aggregates for concreting purpose, especially as fine aggregates. In quarrying activities, the rocks ...
Objective of the study : Replacing the natural sand with Quarry Dust and GGBFS as an additive to develop the High Strength Fly ash Bricks for Structural Applications Problem Formulation 3. Citations and briefings of the research papers explored Authors Observations Andodariya et.al (2017) The result reveals that 20 percent of …
well as dry conditions. Because of this brick, 55% of quarry dust can be saved while achieving higher compressive strength than quarry dust. The bricks which are made from laterite have very low compressive strength in wet conditions. The material mixture (45% of quarry dust with laterite) is more economical and environmental friendly ...

Incorporation of tannery sludge along with cement and quarry dust in four different proportions, were experimented by P. Amsayazhi and K. S. R. Mohan [34]. The results showed that bricks made with ...
The aim of study is investigation of impact of devri stone quarry dust in geopolymer brick, also focus on characteristics strength of geo-polymer material. In this experimental approach, 25% ground granulated blast furnance slag and 75% fly ash were taken into consideration. This investigation focuses on the substitution of devri stone …
By replacement of quarry dust, the requirement of land fill area can be reduced and can also solve the problem of natural sand scarcity. The availability of sand at low cost as a fine aggregate in concrete is not suitable and that is the reason to search for an alternative material. Quarry dust satisfies the reason behind the… Expand
The quarry dust was supplied by factory ID Interlocking Brick Sdn Bhd., Terengganu. The specific gravity of quarry dust was 2.69 and the fineness modulus was 2.8 with density of 1,630 kg/m 3. The quarry dust of size 6 mm after sieving was used. The quarry dust was then dried in the room temperature before used. 2.1.4 Water
An attempt was made to study the characteristics of bricks made of Sand, Moorum, Quarry dust and Iron chips with varying volume of Plastic as 20%, 25%, 30% and 35%.
3.1.5. Comparative study . The comparative study of average compressive strength obtained for various proportions are given in Fig. 9. The graph indicates that the compressive strength of sample proportion P2 is higher than the other samples. The mix proportion P2 shows that more strength is achieved when quarry dust is more than the …
Quarry dust extraction is performed as an alternative measure to replace sand in brick work. Quarry dust, which is an inert material and useless waste to found from nearby quarries. A study on the optimum percentage of quarry dust that can replace sand will be done to overcome this problem.
